Profile - Kenneth Thlaka

Mr Thlaka is a development practitioner with considerable experience of more than 18 years in the NGO sector. Mr Thlaka’s journey started from a community youth movement where he became an activist. He worked as executive director for two youth development organizations and as a board member in several NGOs.

Facilitated Governance and Strategic Plan for Makotse Women’s Project [Funded by NDA] – 2003

Facilitated a Partnership Development Program between South African Youth Council and the British Youth Council [funded by the British Council] – 2007

Facilitated Governance Workshop for Resources Action Group in Cape Town – 2008

Developed the Manual for the partnership between SAYC and British Youth Council.

  • Partnership Agreement on youth development programmes related to Tourism initiative. Cross Boarder Tourism Youth Empowerment (CBTYE) is an initiative of the Establishment for Comprehensive Youth Development (ECYD).
  • The above mentioned Eight Governments are participating on the programme through their National Ministries.
