Profile - Dan Thabethe

Mr Dan Thabethe is a mature South African male who has extensive experience in Social Development and Project Development activities in various communities.  Has initiated and managed a number of Developmental projects since the early 1990s.

A graduate in Ministerial Theology from Phumelela Bible College, has served as an ordained minister for over 10 years.

Has been trained extensively in Leadership Development; Organizational Development; Project Management; Youth Leadership; and Managing NGOs.

Founder and initiator of the Tshepo-Themba Youth Development programme which established a Multipurpose Youth Centre in Etwatwa, east of Benoni.  Has been involved in the development of the following projects;

  • A clinic in Manotwane village, Limpopo.
  • A children’s hope in Atteridgeville, Tshwane.
  • Two Primary Schools in Etwatwa, Daveyton.
  • A Youth Centre in Soweto [The Alliance Church]

Was instrumental in the processes leading to the development of the Youth Workers Policy, while being Executive Director of the South African Youth Workers Association 2000 – 2003.
